Chief Scientist predicts "bottom-up" effort to tackle climate change

The UK’s chief scientific advisor John Beddington said that while the Copenhagen summit was a disappointment, “a bottom-up approach” to curbing GHG emissions will continue, as will increased commercial investment in low-carbon technologies. He predicted that national climate change strategies would have a greater influence on corporate investment decisions than a global agreement.
